Continuing Education Classes - August 2011

ServiceMaster Restoration by DSI holds a wide variety of CE classes with the goal of helping the insurance industry and our customers gain a better range of knowledge.  This will in turn help them serve their customers better and more efficiently as well as obtaining CE credits in the process.  All of these classes meet the state of Illinois requirements for continuing education.  The classes are informative and interactive, our classes are worth 3 hours of credit, and the classes are free.  For any other questions or for more information call us at 800 954-9444.

We would like to offer you an opportunity to lower your loss ratio and improve the service you provide to your insureds. We have created a training program designed to educate you and your staff about how to reduce the size of many of your property losses. The concept is called loss mitigation.

In this class, you will learn just how much damage water can cause and what steps can be taken to reduce or minimize the damage. Your insureds are not trained to think about things like water migration. They do not understand how gravity and capillary action cause water to spread rapidly into non-affected areas. When left untreated, even for a short time, the loss worsens, the costs go up and you stand a chance of the insured experiencing more problems than necessary.

What we need to do is STOP THE LOSS BEFORE THINGS GET WORSE.

This applies, not only to water damage, but also to most property losses. If a Mitigation Specialist is called within 24 hours, many dollars can be saved. Mitigation Specialists are trained to stabilize the damage and keep it from becoming worse. The result is less damage, lower cost, improved loss ratios and satisfied policyholders.
