The ServiceMaster DSI Office
Our business started in 1981 when Rick Veldman, our founding partner, bought his first franchise, ServiceMaster of Addison. Rick’s business initially provided carpet cleaning services and within a few years Chicago area customers were requesting fire and water restoration cleaning services.
The business grew throughout the 1980’s because it gained a reputation for being able to quickly restore homes and businesses after they suffered fire and water damage. As the business grew the ever increasing customer base needed more than just fast clean up to regain full use of their property. To meet this demand Reconstruction and General Contracting, HVAC Cleaning, and Mold Remediation Services were added to the service portfolio. The business took the name “ServiceMaster Disaster Services Inc.” or “ServiceMaster DSI” for short.
In 1990 Rick took on Steve VanDenBerg and Ron Veldman as partners, and the business was incorporated under VVV Corporation. Through the early 1990’s ServiceMaster Disaster Services continued to serve an ever increasing number of customers through organic growth and acquisition.
Today VVV Corporation operates 8 branch locations throughout Illinois which serve a combined 10,000 customers and employs nearly 200 people.
